Rapid Reviews
I do my best that even on work days that really just take a lot of my time, I try to make time for some self love and self care. Although I’m really sadden that a product I loved had been discontinued. Now it’s time to shop for alternatives next time.
Emptied 11 products with a total value of ~$233
- Body Care Products::
- Bliss – Body Acne Spray – $18 for 3.5 oz
- I think this worked just as well as the Hero Cosmetics Body Spray but contains 2% Salicylic Acid which increase the potency level to help with my body acne. However during periods of hormone week – nothing pushing through LoL
- Hero Cosmetics – Body Brave Power Wash – $14.99
- Apparently this is discontinued – sad face. I just I was the only loyal buyer because it’s no longer on their website. Seriously I purchased this non-stop.
- Clindamycin Topical Lotion (Derm Prescribed) – $20
- As a dermatology prescribed, I use this on a daily basis after a body wash to help keep my body acne at bay. This is a must!
- Aquaphor – Itch Relief Ointment – $12 for 2 tubes (finished 1 tube)
- This is my go to tube of ointment when it relates to quick relief for itching. Whether the itch is due to dryness or a bug bite. This tube is important to have around the house.
- Bliss – Body Acne Spray – $18 for 3.5 oz
- Skincare Products::
- Murad – Acne Control Clarifying Cleanser – $36 for 6.75 oz
- This is my third bottle! I’m now going through it quicker because my significant other is now using it on a regular basis. It has a cooler effect because of the salicylic acid. My skin is always left clean even on my dry skin. I always follow up with lots of hydrating products.
- Dermalogica – Micellar Prebiotic Precleanse – $49 for 5.1 oz
- My overall experience was not to my liking. The milky precleanse didn’t leave my skin even semi clean. It did ok to remove light makeup but not waterproof makeup. It had this weird scent.
- Zitsticka – Killa Spot Clarifying Patch Kit – $29 for 8 patches
- One zap and done. While these are super expensive – I think they are worth it because for my early stage pimples they get to the bottom of it before it grows. Leaving my skin the next day flat and unnoticeable pimple.
- Supergoop! – Unseen Sunscreen – $22 for 0.68 oz (finish a deluxe sample)
- I love the dry oil effect of this sunscreen. While it seemed like it would leave my face oily, it definitely was not the case. I really enjoyed this but I wouldn’t use to reapply for the summer months because my skin gets really greasy as we go throughout the day.
- Glow Recipe – Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum – $45 for 1 oz (finished a sample)
- As a sample, this was really lovely. It was not sticky and worked well even while I traveled to a different climate. I didn’t have any issues with trying this as a new product. It had a nice light enjoyable scent too.
- Murad – Acne Control Clarifying Cleanser – $36 for 6.75 oz
- Haircare Products::
- Vegamour – GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum – $42 for 2 oz
- For a first time use of a pre-shampoo treatment this was super helpful for my itchy scalp. I use to have to wash my hair on day 2 and now I have been able to extend to day 5-6, with out needing to wash my scalp. Even though it seems expensive, but to extend and save use of other products for my hair – it’s worth the save.
- Olaplex – No. 3 – $30 for 3.3 oz (finished deluxe sample)
- As part of a full line hair treatment, it added to the overall longevity of my hair after a bleach and color session. However, the BondBar by Sally is just as good and much less expensive.
- Vegamour – GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum – $42 for 2 oz
