Happy March, Everyone!
It’s another month of empties, quite a bit for a short month too. I really don’t know how I do it and sometimes I wonder about myself. Even with a hectic life schedule – I still manage to do one thing and it’s SKINCARE ROUTINE. I think that is probably the one thing I can control and it allows me to be at one with myself.
So to reiterate – this is the year where I go through products to make way for new launches. There are so many good ones this year. I bet many of you will agree with me on this. I cannot be spending money where I have not been monetizing as much as I should be. This is a fun project but I do expect some type of compensation because time and energy is not free. Especially now that my real job hasn’t taken a lot more of my time.
Today I’m going to share with you my Top 5 Empties but I will list the remaining and give ratings as well.
Top 5:
- H2O Plus – Priming Water Essence – 4 fl oz for $40: I love the water essence as a toner step. It is unscented and a little goes a long way. It has been perfect for dry New England weather and transition from Fall to Winter months.
- Osea – Hyaluronic Sea Serum (previous formulation) – 1 fl oz for $88: Even with it’s sticky texture – you don’t need a lot of this. I tried my best to savor it because I didn’t want to have to repurchase so soon but I have other products to try in the meantime. This is the old formulation but I’m sure I’ll love the new one just as much.
- Boscia – MakeUp-BreakUp (sample) – 5 fl oz for $32 (full size price): Even though this was sample – I fell in love with it immediately. It melted my makeup so easily and quickly. I didn’t recall any scent. Also, I didn’t experience any cloudy eyes either.
- Prescription – Clindamycin Topical Lotion – Insurance Paid (Retail: $90): If you experience body acne – this lotion is great to control and treat acne. I’ve noticed a significant reduction in acne production amongst my entire body acne routine.
- Beekman 1802 – Pure Goat Milk Body Serum – 3.2 fl oz for $44: The glass packaging is scary but wonderful. I was lucky enough to not drop and break this bottle. Even with unscented you’ll notice like a plasticy smell but nothing crazy noticeable. It lathered so amazingly – seriously wish it was in a bigger bottle. Even gives me this nice glow on my skin.
All 22 Empties this month:
- H2O Plus – Priming Water Essences – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – see review above
- Blithe – Pressed Serum – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1.68 oz for $37 – This was an interesting concept for me. I don’t usually prefer cream serums like this. However it was very nourishing for my dry winter skin. My only issue with this is that when used in the mornings – I experience pilling quite a bit.
- Aavrani – Rejuvenating Eye Elixir – ⭐️ – 0.49 fl oz for $49 – I didn’t notice anything special about this eye cream. It wasn’t nourishing enough or created any brightening effect. It broke me out the first couple of days of using it. For the amount and the price – it wasn’t worth it.
- Goldfaden MD – Mist RX – ⭐️⭐️ – 2 fl oz for $48 – I did feel a nourishing effect after use. I just couldn’t get over the smell of the mist. It just smelt horrible. I honestly forced myself to finish this up.
- Osea – Hyaluronic Sea Serum – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – see review above
- First Aid Beauty – Calamine Pore Purging Mask – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 2.5 fl oz for $30 – I really enjoyed this clay mask. I’m usually not a fan but it really helped with my redness from breakouts. It pull the dirt and gunk to the surface so I can use proper exfoliants to help clear up my skin quicker.
- Peach Slices – Snail Rescue Mask – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3.38 fl oz for $16.99 – I quite enjoyed this mask. I mainly used it to help calm and clear my skin up. Plus it has hydrating and cooling effect. The only down side was that I had a really hard time washing it off. It took longer to wash off than spread on my face.
- Supergoop – Glow Screen (sample) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1.7 fl oz for $36 for Full Size – This sunscreen was my first favorite for mineral. It didn’t smell like sunscreen which is a plus. Blends evenly and without a white cast. My only issue was for the winter it got to oily with a thicker moisturizer. I will definitely try again during spring and summer months.
- Versed – Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm (sample) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 2.3 fl oz for $17.99 for Full Size – This cleansing balm was great. It removed all my makeup and sunscreen easily. It was a strong eucalyptus scent but once it melted the scent went away. I would definitely pick this up again for an affordable price point.
- Murad – Renewing Eye Cream – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 0.5 fl oz for $82 – As much as I really loved this eye cream, I really can’t get pass the price point. It did not irritate my skin and I noticed my crows eye flatten out which was a plus. I’d pick it up again if pricing was no object.
- Youth to the People – Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Oil (sample) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1 fl oz for $44 – This oil was great for when I stayed in MA for a month. It’s best to use at overnight for the extra hydration. When I added into my morning routine it was a bit much for my skin especially with sunscreen on top.
- Boscia – MakeUp-BreakUp (sample) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – see review above
- Farmacy – Green Clean (sample) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 3.4 fl oz for $34 – This is my all time favorite cleansing balm. It is not on my top 5 just because it’s always on my top list regardless.
- Earth Therapeutics – Calming Pink Clay Mask – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1 sheet for $5.99 – This is a mess free alternative to the FAB Calamine Mask above. I kind of wish I had more to continue the use overtime to give you a better review.
- Farmacy – Hydrating Coconut Gel Sheet Mask – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 4 sheets for $16 – Love this hydrating sheet mask. It does what it is meant to do. Nothing else to it. I even put it in the fridge for massive hydration.
- Cake – The Deep Treat Hair Mask – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1.69 fl oz for $2.99 – I was able to use this a couple of times on my hair. It smelt like pure cake batter. I did notice some extra volume in my hair and left my hair silky smooth too.
- Hask – Argan Oil Conditioner – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 12 fl oz for $6.29 – I’ve been using this brand for sometime. Especially their hair mask. This conditioner was just as great too. For smooth and shine it’s been great. I wish to try other version to see more results.
- Bath & Body Works – Sweet Pea Bubble Bath (discontinued) – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Rituals of Karma – Showerfoam – ⭐️⭐️ – 6.7 fl oz for $12.50 – The foam concept is nice idea. The scent became very overpowering. I had a hard time using the spray head while my hands were wet in the shower. It became cumbersome and not worth the effort.
- Differin Gel – Adapalene Gel – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 1.7 fl oz for $35.99 – I’ve been using this for years and reviewed many times. I think you know my thoughts on this already.
- Prescription – Clindamycin Topical Lotion – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – see review above
- Beekman 1802 – Pure Goat Milk Body Serum – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – see review above
