This month felt like a long month. Between long work hours and trying to keep up with a social media engagement. I don’t know how anyone does it to be honest. I don’t set goals for myself but rather (I think) I will do my best! Hence why this month even with a crazy schedule I was able to finish 30 products! Almost one a day! Phew!
There were quite a few misses or just ones i wouldn’t repurchase. You gotta keep in mind that price is a big factor. Unless it is like OMG I am very particular.
I’m going to break it down to categories to help you easier navigate. If you have any questions – my email or Instagram DM is always open.
- Haruharu – Wonder Black Bamboo Mist – While this mist was nice, sprays well, and lasted me awhile. There was nothing exciting about it. I think maybe I am not a huge fan of mists in general. I literally only use it to make sure my skin is damp before I start my skincare routine. On occasion I’ll reapply during the day especially during this dry/cold winter weather.
- Farmacy – Clearly Clean – You already know that that brand is my go-to cleansing balm. This balm is their new launch which is fragrance-free and better for those with sensitive skin. I personally still prefer their original formulation better because I like it’s fragrance.
- Glow Recipe – Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial – I ran through this mask quicker than any other. I love the watermelon fragrance. It left my skin clear and smooth afterwards. My only negative is that due to my cheeks being so sensitive – it irritated immediately after application. While I try to avoid that area – this area is where I’m not to have larger pores and breakouts. I’ll have to eye mask or cheek mask with other products while I use this clay one for the rest of my face.
- Peach Slices – Snail Rescue Moisturizer – This was a great summer moisturizer. I didn’t get to finish it in time so it has led me to now. This was such a great one to calm my morning red skin from random blemishes. It is fragrance-free and doesn’t smell like any plastic.
- Ren – Ever Clam Gentle Cleansing Milk – I have tried a couple of other cleansing milk products but this is far better than others. While I feel like it leaves a film – it actually doesn’t. It is helping to keep my morning skin moisturized without having to apply the rest of my lineup immediately. It is a very earthy scent – I didn’t mind it but it is not my go-to.
- Coola – Sun Silk Drops Sunscreen – I treated this like a sunscreen – it was my final step in my morning routine. You can use it in the serum step. I love this sunscreen especially during the summer and fall months. I notice that now I’ve changed my moisturizer to a winter – I started to pill especially after a 2 or 3 reapplication of the day. It doesn’t leave my hand sticky or extra residue that I need to wash off (I still wash my hands). It is still amazing liquid sunscreen overall.
- Tiam Global – VitaRed Sunscreen – This was another amazing sunscreen. Same problem I started to pill as I swapped to my winter moisturizer. Not sure exactly what is going on. It is not the moisturizer because I have another sunscreen open and I do not have this pilling problem. This one is unscented and has Vitamin C boost in the ingredients as well. I love Vitamin C to help me brighten my skin and any dull spots.
- Fekkai – Technician Color Treatment Masque – This color treatment I think did its job. My hair was balayage so it wasn’t vibrant to begin with. It did keep my hair soft after coloring which was great. It smelt like Flintstones vitamins as when i was a kid – hahaha – not a fan of that.
- Hask – Argan Oil – Repairing Shampoo – As much as I love Hask hair oil, this shampoo – was not for me – I just have a itchy and dry scalp year round so it’s tough to use anything but a scalp treatment shampoo.
- Jurlique – Softening Rose Body Cream – Boy oh Boy! This cream is so soft and luxurious. It is heavily Rose scented. Unfortunately for the price point I can’t justify repurchasing for the amount I got.
- Hero Cosmetics – Brave Body Mineral Melt – You know I rave about this line of products. The lotion is great works perfect for the summer and into the winter.
- Yonka – Gel Exfoliant Sugar Scrub – This was an amazing body scrub. It melts instantly and turns into this white soap like. I love the citrus scent that didn’t irritate my body acne either. I would for sure repurchase this.
- Rituals – Holy Lotus & White Tea Body Scrub – This scrub at first was nice but then it harden after I took a break from it. The sugar had a hard time melting properly. It felt like it left a oily film on my skin. Due to acne prone skin – it doesn’t do well. I’d pass on this scrub.
- Youth to the People:
- Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream – This lightweight moisturizer was nice but not nice enough for my winter skin. I had to mix in with the Dream Oil for the extra hydration.
- Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial – The facial is best used in the shower because it washes off easier. Really leaves my skin super soft and didn’t irritate my even most sensitive areas like my checks. It’s a bit pricey for the full size but it will definitely last a long time.
- 15% Vitamin C + Clean Caffeine Energy Serum – This very earthy scented Vitamin C serum is still in my books as a keeper. I personally didn’t see brightness immediately after use but I was not consistent with this either. I may repurchase this sample size and try again. I now have new blemish to test on.
- Murad – Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum – Same with this serum – although this one – I needed to have a dry skin before application to avoid irritation. This sample was even smaller than the YTTP.
- Kiss – Magnetic Eyeliner Lash Set – Love this magnetic lash set. I have backups ready to go.
- Ciate – Triple Shot XXL Mascara – This one clumps up so it was not my favorite.
- Tarteist – Double Take Eyeliner – My favorite Eyeliner because of its dual size pencil and liquid. I never needed to go over twice when using it.
- Sheet Masks:
- The Pure Lotus – Lotus Leaf Mask – This mask was nice and thick. Stayed on my face without issue. The mouth opening was small if anyone cares. I just noticed because I had coffee.
- Toosoowonso – Help Me Heel Patch – These patches didn’t work to soften my heels. Nor did I see any peeling effect days after use.
- Earth Theraputics – The Moisture Hand Mask – Because if the enclosure my hands warmed up pretty quickly. I’m not in for that spa effect on my hands. there was so much leftover product too. I couldn’t handle it – I had to wash my hands afterwards.
- Mediheal – TeaTree Care Solution – I didn’t care for this one. I was hoping for the calming effect from the tea tree but it didn’t do anything.
- Mediheal – E.G.T. Time Ampoule – Same here I didn’t notice anything exciting either.
- Patches:
- The Good Patch – Dream – These are my go to patches if i need some extra snooze or a good night snooze. It’s better than taking more pills in my opinion. I can pass out in 20 minutes – get a good night sleep without waking feeling groggy.
- Peach Slices – Deep Blemish Microdarts – You know these are my go to microdart patches.
- Hero Cosmetics – Mighty Patch “The Original” – Same here my go to pimple patch brand.
- Hero Cosmetics – Mighty Patch “Surface” – These were great for larger areas like my back acne. I even cut down to whatever size I need.
