Even with me traveling half the month I am pretty happy to have still emptied some products (12 total). With all the sales this month I was tempted to purchase new products. I am not happy I purchased them but once I opened them I am so glad I did because they were amazing. You’ll have to see my Sephora purchase on my Instagram page.
Skincare Empties
Coxir – Ultra Hyularonic Ampoule – $20 for 50mL
I quite enjoyed this ampoule a lot. It was a great addition of hydration to my skin with transition of the weather change. It even contains Aloe Vera to help sooth irritated skin. Ampoule is unscented and does not leave any stickiness behind.
Peach & Lily – Glass Skin Refining Serum – $39 for 40 mL
I love the way this product leaves my skin plump and hydrated. Soaks right into my skin without much effort. You really get that dewy look upon application. Great addition to my nighttime routine but can be used twice a day.
Drunk Elephant – Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum – $82 for 30mL
I used this on and off but at one point consistently for 2 weeks. This is for those looking to smooth the skin from bumps and rough skin. It has 10% Lactic Acid, does have a weird scent, not sticky. The package ended up breaking on me half way through the bottle, I couldn’t close the bottle properly anymore. I probably wouldn’t buy this again due to the cost.
Boscia – Cactus Water Moisturizer – $38 for 47.59ml plus an Emptied Sample
This was a great summer moisturizer. My only issue was that it made most of my sunscreens pilled, which wasn’t great. With the transition in weather I couldn’t finish the bottle on my face. So I ended up using the remaining on my body which was perfect. That aloe really helped hydrate my dry skin on the body.
Fresh Beauty – Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream – $45 for 50ml
I’m really going to miss this moisturizer. I started using this in the summer but as we transitioned into fall and winter it really is amazing. It gave me a ton of boost in hydration and it smelt like rose petals but not too over powering. I mainly used this at nighttime because the air can be really drying. I may need to repurchase this in the future.
HeyHoney – Good Morning! Honey Silk Facial Serum – $45 for 1 fl. oz but Emptied Sample
I used this serum as my makeup primer – so good! I love the way is smells, glides on my skin, hydrates and really helps when I apply my foundation.
HaruHaru – Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Anti-Wrinkle Serum – $25 for 50mL
Such an affordable wrinkle serum. I mainly used it on my neck due to tech-neck. I didn’t have wrinkles anywhere else that I wanted to focus on. It really helped the deep set lines soften out but the lines were still there because, well, we constantly move our neck all day everyday.
TIA’M – Vita B5 Toner – $20 for 180ml
This toner was lightweight and not as heavy consistency as the HaruHaru Black Rice Toner – this isn’t heavy but if you know consistency of that just know it’s a bit lighter. I do like that it is unscented. Huge bottle for the price – so more affordable that the Haru Haru one for a hyaluronic toner but I would add 2 layers depending on how dry my face is.
Kate Somerville D-Scar Diminishing Scar Serum – $52 for 0.66 fl oz
I used this D-Scar serum to help with a scar on the back of my leg from a booth I sat down at a week before I received this product I was able to try it out for the entire 8 weeks and emptied it. The serum is meant to flatten and improve the texture of the scar. I did notice it has soften in that area but the scar unfortunately is still there.
Hair Care
Aveda – Botanical Repair – Strengthening Leave-In Treatment – $34 for 100ml but Emptied Sample
I love this leave-in treatment. All their products smell so earthy. I was able to use this sample twice and leaving my hair super soft. I’m not sure how it is repairing my ends. It does however help me detangle my hair making it easier to brush and has heat protectant in the product.
IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm – $29 for 5 fl oz
Loved this hair balm! Such an affordable hair balm to help me detangle and keeps my hair hydrated. My ends always look lively after first use. I would for sure repurchase this because it can be used on Damp, or Dry hair.
Christophe Robin – Daily Hair Cream with Sandlewood – $32 for 100 ml
I love, love, love this hair cream. Smells amazing and helps my hair look hydrated and really does help prevent new split ends. I already repurchased this product.
